egeplast UK celebrates its 20th anniversary and announces a significant investment programme which aims to double the size of the business and significantly increase its manufacturing capacity.

The egeplast UK brand is rolled out in the UK to reflect its identity within its core markets. The business continues to manufacture and supply products from its facilities in Yorkshire as well as from its parent company in Germany.

egeplast UK Ltd acquires Westwood Pipelines, a company which shares its family values and commitment to innovation. Now part of egeplast Group which was founded in 1908 and with a turnover of over £200-million per year, the group now operates state of the art manufacturing facilities in the UK, Sweden and Germany. Its products are specified in more than 30 countries across the world. 

The business expands its manufacturing capabilities with the installation of its own pipe extrusion facilities to enable it to manufacture pipe for its UK customers.  

Following a sustained period of growth, Westwood Pipelines relocated to Sandtoft Industrial Estate (its current home) to enable future expansion.

The company secures the UK’s first 630mm diameter barrier pipe contract.

Westwood Pipelines becomes an integral part of The Pipeline Industries Guild.

The company secures its first water framework contract. The contract was with Yorkshire Water for SLA barrier pipe. We continue to supply pipe systems to Yorkshire Water fifteen years later.  

Westwood Pipelines continues to expand and builds a reputation for providing high quality products and market leading customer service to the UK’s water, construction and utility sectors.

Westwood Pipelines becomes the UK agent for egeplast International GmbH, a Germany based manufacturing company with a reputation for providing high quality pipe solutions and a commitment to R&D. 

Westwood Pipelines Ltd is founded by the Brewer Family to supply PE fittings and fabrications to UK merchants operating in the utilities sector.
